Sometimes things got fixed. But too often, something felt off.
Then came the invoice.
I remember staring at a bill charging for two technicians on a job I knew — because my manager was standing right there — only required one. It wasn't the first time. It was just the time I couldn't ignore anymore.
That's the moment I realized the problem wasn't just about one vendor, or one bad invoice. It was systemic. The service industry had grown comfortable treating restaurant operators like they were too busy to notice, too dependent to push back, or too small to matter. And honestly? A lot of operators were too busy to notice. That's exactly what was being counted on.
I wasn't willing to accept that anymore.
